Ancient Roman and Greek Gods and Goddesses
The Greeks and the Romans considered their gods to be very much like ordinary humans. They experienced very human emotions, like envy, love, fear, and suspicion. The gods were, for the most part, truly interested in mankind and many felt especially close to humans. However, especially in the case of more minor gods, people only worshiped those deities most in tune with their own lives.
